Since we loved the Hutong Tour so much, we decided to make this tour with Roy. As people who had little background of the Chinese history, we loved this historical data filled tour. It really gives you a global vision of the place and it's history (essentially what is expected from a tour), with plenty of time to sit, take pics and many anecdotes of the life and customs of the Chinese people. Entry is not included, but it's 30-60 yuangs depending on how many inside "private" buildings you wanna visit. Roy's English is perfect. Definitely recommend!!!!

Roy loves the history and knows a lot. Great tour, he took us through the Hutong in slow and casual pace. Sharing fun facts and tips. Good tour to do early in your trip if you want good tips for things to see/do/eat.

Chinas tausendjährige Geschichte kann sich jeder detailliert in seinem gedruckten Reiseführer oder Internet in seiner Sprache anschauen, dafür brauche ich keinen Reiseführer.
Wenn, dann einmal kurz Fakt erwähnen, gut. Nicht 4 Mal wiederholen....
Was in Peking interessiert ist
- Fakten und Anekdoten zu dem Viertel wo man gerade ist
- sich spätestens alle paar Minuten weiterbewegen
- persönliche Erlebnisse von Roy oder "normalen" Pekingern
- Insider Hinweise/ Verweise auf Dinge, die man sich später selbst anschauen könnte
Lieber Roy, ich würde mir wünschen, kürzere Stopps zu machen und mehr lustige interessante witzige Fakten von dir zu hören, die ich mir nicht selbst anlesen kann, sondern die nur ein echter Bewohner von Peking kennt. Außerdem reicht es, wenn man Zahlen nur einmal erwähnt. Bei vierfacher Wiederholung der Daten zur Yuan -Dynastie kam ich mir doch sehr wie in der Schule vor.
+ Ich mochte deine guten Englischkenntnisse und der Startort und die Route waren gut gewählt!

- Check the pricing for entrance fees. If you want to explore and see more make sure to account for extra time.
- I believe its free for people 60+ years old (double check).
-There is reduced fee for people in school undergrates and under. Must show school ID.
-Can be a lot of walking for some considering the place is big.
- If you only have time to see one palace then this one might be a better option.
- Location can be far depending where you are staying.
- This tour should be a paid tour since tip amount is mandatory for Roy.
