Fantastic tour that exceeded my expectations even though I’m a Knights Templar tragic. The guide was very knowledgeable and informative and answered all my questions. Highly recommended. You must do this tour.

Frederico was an interesting and caring guide. He gave great explanations for our questions and has depth and breadth of knowledge about Tomar and the 2000 odd years of history. We had a small group so he encouraged questions. This tour was of Tomar beneath the Templar buildings so doesn’t have the wow moments of the fort … but is an important tour to understand the lie of the land in the town.
We did a separate walking tour of the Templar Knights and convent fort. Both are necessary to understand Tomas’s unique history.
Thanks Frederico for a really lovely two hours.

Interesting tour of an impressive fort and monastery. We had walked around the fortress ourselves before but going with David added so much. He’s got an art history background and was knowledgeable and interesting.
