Hello! My name is Stefan. I live near Nuremberg, am married and have four adult children. A few years ago (many years ago to be honest) I studied ancient and medieval history, but then founded a small publishing house and have been self-employed ever since. One area of our program was (and is) the topic "Experience the Middle Ages for yourself". Of course, for many years I have been dealing with the history of my neighboring city of Nuremberg, which was a metropolis of European importance in the late Middle Ages. In 2017 I started to do tourist tours in Nuremberg's "underworlds" as a "side job"; i.e. the battlements of the bastion, the medieval rock cellars in the castle hill, in various air raid shelters and so on. When I found out about the Guruwalks, I was immediately enthusiastic! Here I can implement my own ideas for management concepts that are not offered by organizations: not only offer pure instruction, but also pass on well-founded information with fun and entertainment. That is my motivation and my goal.
Two famous Till Eulenspiegel stories take place in Nuremberg: the "healing" of the sick in the Heilig-Geist-Spital and how he lures the city guard over a broken bridge so that they fall into the river.
On the tour we not only visit these places, but many other sights - exciting stories are told everywhere and historical information is passed on in an entertaining way. Eulenspiegel's pranks and the escape from prison form the "frame story" for the tour.
It is equally suitable for children and adults.
These are the stops on the tour:
I'll be standing at the north end of the Museumsbrucke next to the pharmacy and I'll be wearing a red T-shirt
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
