Elmar was an excellent guide. It was one of the best Free Tours I have ever done. The content was super interesting and he told us all kinds of interesting facts about the city.
As we are studying German, he offered to give us the tour in German. He spoke in a very clear way and clarified all the words we didn't know.

This type of tour is much BETTER than your average walking tour. I was looking for something less touristy and that is exactly what I got with Elmar's tour. He crafts his tour around little known facts and interesting anecdotes about Bern. Take Elmar's tour of Bern and you won't be disappointed! He is a Bern native and is very passionate about his city, and is just a very knowledgeable and personable guide. He will take you to the lesser known, but more memorable areas of the city. He put up with me and all my questions around Swiss culture and lifestyle, and was happy to offer tips on where to go in the city. The tour of Bern with Elmer was exceptional and lots of fun. Elmer loves his city and it showed as he brought us through the windy streets to see Bern’s past and present.
