Free walking tours in Bukhara

We had a wonderful time with Fayz. We could see his passion emanating in the way he conducted the whole tour. We had reached Bukhara the previous evening and although we had already walked around some of the places he covered, he brought the whole place alive to us through imagination and his stories. We loved the walk through the Jewish quarter, Hodja's statue, puppet theatre and trading domes. The whole tour was well paced and very interesting. Thanks Fayz for taking time for us.

We did a free tour around Bukhara with Maks. She was so kindly and nice. We saw all importants places of the city. It was a calm and pleasant morning for us.

We had a very lovely experience. The guide himself was extremely friendly and involved in dialogue. He managed skilfully to mix history and interesting/funny facts with carefully prepared visual materials. During the tour we visited several local merchants where they showed their crafts and explained the history. Zero purchasing pressure! We managed to choose very cold day for the tour and Fayz took good care of us trying to keep us warm choosing less windy spaces . Customer care 100/10. Highly recommend, very interactive tour

Gayrat is a very knowledgeable guide. We walked through many of the historical sites in Old Bukhara, and the whole experience was very insightful. He explained the history clearly and shared many interesting details along the way. His sense of humor also made the tour more enjoyable and engaging.

Ali was an amazing tour guide! We had a little problem with our breakfast and he patiently waited for us for some extra minutes. Ali’s English was impeccable and everything was easily understandable. He even let us stop by to his family business and offered some discounts. I totally recommend him to everyone!

The tour was really amazing. Honestly I was not expecting him to continue as there was only me on the tour and no one else. But he showed me all the places with so much enthusiasm. He had so much knowledge about each and every location and allowed me time to click pictures and take videos as well. I asked him a lot of questions about different time periods and he knew it all. It was really a nice tour.

I had a fantastic experience on this Samarkand tour. Our guide was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly generous with her time. We visited all the main sites, plus local craft shops and even a traditional hamam! When the other guests left, the tour continued just for me, including a walk through the market and being taken to a great local spot for lunch. It felt personal and authentic from start to finish. Highly recommend!

It was a great tour covering all important points in Bukhara from the historical sites to the contemporary local market. The tour helped us understand both the historical importance of the city and the current milieu. Highly recommended.

What made the tour special was that she took us to meet local people at their workplaces, which made the visit much more authentic and entertaining. Alex was a great guide with lots of knowledge! For first time visitors in Bukhara this was a great tour that hit nearly all major sites and Alex gave good recommendations on follow up ideas like restaurants and museums/sites.

Maks is an extraordiary guide, who has enormous knowledge about the history, customs and peoples of Buxoro in the course of its more than 2.500 years of existance, and she knows how to share this with her listeners in a professional and sympathetic manner.

A lovely tour guide. We saw all the sights and he even helped us to get great photos. He went out of his way after the tour to help me find a post office. He has a heavy accent but once you tune in to it his English is good.

Such a great tour with Maks. A really great historical overview, lots of places to visit (including a peek into the men's hammam, not somewhere I'd ever visit in my own!), and a fantastic walk through the market. The tour gave me excellent context to go and explore and understand old Bukhara on my own. Maks was a beautiful guide and I really enjoyed her style. Highly recommended.
