Great guide! Very knowledgeable and he took the time to answer all questions. He also showed us pictures of inside places which were paid access and pictures of precious buildings. He provided us with a handout at the end which was most helpful. Would highly recommend him!

Coimbra is a beautiful city and João is a wonderful guide - he is knowledgeable, friendly, and very accommodating. We were very lucky to be on our own with him and he was careful to go slow and take breaks for my parents, who have some mobility issues. The route was also great - some of the old town, up to the university, and then through the botanical gardens. João gave us a great mix of history, culture, and recommendations (food and shopping). Please book João for your trip to Coimbra!

João was an excellent guide who shared with us so much information about Coimbra, and could also answer a lot of our additional questions about things related to architecture and the economic activities that contributed to this small but hilly university town. The tour covered a lot of ground, and while we could manage it, do not that even though João was kind enough to take things at a slow pace as we climbed our way upwards to the top of Coimbra where the university is, it is still quite a long walking tour so do have comfy walking shoes on. All in all a very comprehensive and educational tour that covered many key locations.

Joao was very knowledgeable and added a lot of fun details to our tour. He was considerate and very generous with his time, recommended great spots for dining and Fado and was very patient answering questions. Highly recommended!!

This tour was great! Our guide Joao was very knowledgeable about Coimbra and its history/lacales and he is perfectly fluent. He provide us with many recommendations for other places to visit and more “non touristy” restaurants. A great way to spend a few hours and to get to see many parts of the lower and Coimbra University and surroundings,
