We had a really great tour. Our guide Rita was fantastic, she really knew her stuff and kept us engaged for the whole tour. I would highly recommend
Having done a number of tours of various trips in Europe this one did not live up to our expectations. The guide was nice but we felt disappointed by the tour. Throughout the tour we walked past and stood next to multiple sites that looked important to the city without any comment on what they were. The tour seemed to focus on what is there now and ignored much of the city’s history which is obviously present with such a vast expanse of beautiful buildings and monuments. For example when standing in the city’s Old Jewish Quarter, we were told that he did not believe it should be called this anymore, that few Jews remained and that this is now a great area for visiting bars rather than giving any Jewish history of the city. If current culture is what you’re looking for then maybe this tour is for you, but if you like to know about a cities history and learn about the buildings surrounding you then I wouldn’t recommend this tour.
