Overall I was a bit disappointed by the general negativity of our non-Swedish tour guide, and it wasn't as fun, even though I really enjoy walking tours in most cities I visit even if the content isn't as thrilling. Stockholm is a lovely city so I'm glad I got to see the city center before heading home!
Fatih was a great guide and took us through the heart of local Istanbul in Fatih. He explained Islamic practices and also the history of the mosques we visited. He is very friendly and wants everyone to walk away with a true understanding of the Islamic faith. I would recommend this tour with Fatih.
It was so lovely to explore the asian or anatolian side of Istanbul with a local. We went to a beautiful mosque, a palace, the market, and lastly the popular Kuzguncuk neighborhood. Hüseyin gave us some great recommendations and offered to take our photos. I enjoyed it and I'd recommend the tour, but I will say that the last part of the tour in Kuzguncuk felt a bit rushed. If you want more time in this area (maybe the most scenic part of the tour) you'll have to explore a bit on your own afterwards.
I had a great tour of Porto with Diogo! I learned about the history of Portugal and Porto, and he gave a ton of recommendations.
