Al was great! He showed us parts of Matanzas that we wouldn't have been able to find out about ourselves. What was really lovely was that there were so many people that we passed while walking through the city that obviously know and love him. While my husband and I can both speak Spanish, the accent in Cuba is hard to understand (when you're used to European and Mexican Spanish) so it was invaluable to have Al translate for us at the Pharmaceutical Museum, we felt like we had a VIP tour. It was also great to speak to Al about general life in Cuba and the career changes he's made. It gave us a real insight in to the culture. My main recommendation would be for Al to have a list of all the things visitors to Matanzas might be interested in seeing, although he asked us what we would like to see, it's still difficult to research online beforehand what the best and most interesting attractions are. We had a great time with Al and would have liked to have spent more time with him if we'd had more time in Matanzas. It would be cool to just go to lunch or dinner with Al just to talk about Cuba and Matanzas and learn about his life. Al's a really cool guy and we wish him all the best
