We think this tour could be very interesting if Alejandro was more fluent in English and took the time to go into further detail about the Silk Road.

Alejandro clearly has interest in what he is doing; he was punctual and indeed tries hard to explain. However, we wish he could have interacted with us a bit more, perhaps answer our questions and give more fun facts. Alejandro’s energy level was a bit lower than the guides that we’re used to—could be a cultural difference issue—but would be nice to have a more lively guide who expresses enthusiasm about the city! We were not informed that we had to pay for the museum and the Silk Exchange entrance fee. FYI, it will be helpful to know this before the tour. Some parts of the silk exchange were glossed over and we had to ask Alejandro to give us a bit more time to take a gander. Still, the silk museum was a good place to learn more about the silk history and culture. Will recommend you to visit the museum!
