I lecture around the world on various historical subjects, I am a tour guide in Jerusalem myself and I have been published on Spanish history so it's rare that I am impressed with a tourguide. Most guides seem to phone it in and fill their tours with legendary nonsense and a cynical approach to both their craft and their clients. But Manu was extraordinary. I really can not recommend his tour highly enough. He loves his subject, he loves his city and he loves his craft. I rarely stick around for a full free tour once I catch on that the guide doesn't know or care what 's talking about but I honestly would have stayed for an additional 3 hours with Manu. He worked as an archeologist in Andalusia and as a teacher around the world and it's obvious that his primary passion is to know and share the details and excitement of everything encompassing what it means to provide a great tour. And in addition to his accurate and voluminous knowledge, he was personable and attentive to the concerns and interests of each of us on his tour. I wish there was a Manu in every city. Sadly there isn't, so don't miss the one in Almeria. You'll love your tour. I guarantee you.
