Dear Eddie, I am so sorry that we haven’t made even one third of my planned excursion, on which I prepared to tell you about the history of Swedish community in St-Petersburg, to show you the Swedish Lutheran Evangelical Church of Saint Catherine and to tell you about prominent Swedish people who contributed to the development of St Petersburg and Russia,such as, for example ,Johan Oskar Backlund - Swedish astronomer; academician in astronomy of the Imperial St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences, or the talented architect Johan Fredrik Lidvall and to show you some of his creations, to tell you about the Nobel family of inventors and industrialists - the enterprises that their father founded in St. Petersburg were turned into a large machine-building plant by Ludwig Nobel and that I, by an amazing coincidence, live in a house built by the Nobels for the workers of their factory... I am really very sorry that our tour was so short and I managed to give you so little information about St-Petersburg. Anyway, I sincerely invite you to come to my tour again and I promise that next time it will be more informative.
