My girlfriend and I went for a walking tour with Sam in the old town of Bilbao. Maybe it was the difficulty of Aste Nagusia (which is the biggest party in Bilbao once a year) but there was not much history provided; no evidence of local knowledge; and he seemed quite distracted. The sense was that we were in Bilbao on the Saturday where the whole city celebrates and Sam was either unaware of the significance of the celebration or would have preferred to be somewhere else (including when he was on his phone and discussing interacting with some girl?). As I said, maybe he was unable to conduct the tour when it was a busy time; however, have only ever had positive experiences on walking tours and if this is the offer, I would go somewhere else. This one seems like a guy who doesn't know much about the area making a cheap buck.
