Andrew fue un gran anfitrión en el tour de Chongqing, nos llevó a los lugares más relevantes y nos explicó anécdotas e historia de los sitios que visitamos. Sin duda lo recomiendo al 100%

Disappointing behaviour, not reflective of what GuruWalk stands for. First, the guide insisted on communicating outside of the platform (WhatsApp, WeChat). He sent me a message directly via WhatsApp soon after I booked the tour without my consent or permission. Very suspicious behaviour (please don’t blame the firewall). Secondly, via WhatsApp the guide claimed that the tour had to be a private tour with a fixed price paid upfront. This isn’t what guruwalk is used for, and this is certainly not what I was looking for. For transparency the guide asked for 350 rmb for a 3 hour guided tour or 550 rmb for 5 hours. Also clearly extortionate. Lastly, when I did not make this payment in advance, the guide cancelled the tour booking that I made in Guruwalk and tried to imply that it was my decision. I suspect the guide will reply with a comment that I am a liar. It doesn’t matter. I’ve now done my part to warn other guests about the behaviour of this guide.

Risposta di Andrew:
Firstly, after you booked, I prioritized sending you multiple messages via GuruWalk hoping you would confirm as soon as possible. I never received any active response from you. Regarding this point, GuruWalk platform administrators have the permission to check and verify this in the system backend. It is now clear that you had already planned to leave a malicious review for my booking. Furthermore, the GuruWalk platform provided your WhatsApp number to facilitate contact for further confirmation. I think the GuruWalk platform does a very good job, and I support this user-friendly design. If you mind so much about others contacting your WhatsApp, then why did you provide your WhatsApp number in the first place? I think you are really strange, only complaining and blaming others' problems, never analyzing reasons rationally and objectively. When encountering guests like this, I have the right to refuse to provide guide services. During the time slot you booked, there were no other people. I was discussing/negotiating with you, and my tone was friendly and very polite. In the end, I mentioned that if you couldn't accept it, you could simply cancel, and that would be fine. If providing screenshots of the conversation is possible, I would be very willing to do so. Let everyone see that I sent you messages, you gave no active response, and I had no choice but to cancel. You say I'm a scammer?! That's utterly baffling. Online slander exists precisely because of people like you, especially your kind of baseless defamation, which fuels cyberbullying behavior. How much money did I scam from you? Or did I play with your feelings? With such a twisted mentality, one can imagine your life must be very unsatisfactory. Selfish, never looking at problems objectively, incapable of self-reflection – I think such a person wouldn't be welcome anywhere on Earth. They are very suited for moving to Mars and creating their own planet. Wishing you a smooth and happy life, dear. The character of Chongqing people is: if you are friendly to me, I'll be even friendlier to you. You want to slander me? Sorry, but I'll see this through to the end. Learn about Chongqing's long-standing dock culture.

Andrews tour was informative, interesting and fun. He took us to some of the more popular spots and also some "off the beaten track" places which he tailored for the benefit of the group. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time exploring Chongqing with our guide, Andrew. He shared with us the rich history of the city while also taking us to some hidden gems we would have never found on our own. Andrew is incredibly knowledgeable, but also very fun and easy-going, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend him if you want to discover Chongqing in a unique and memorable way!

Risposta di Andrew:
It is fate that brought us together. Although our time together was short, I am very honored to be your local tour guide. Cheers!Meanwhile, I wish you a pleasant trip in China :)

Andrew was very nice. He even met us in the hotel lobby since we were the only ones on that day. It is not a free walking tour though. That being said. you can choose if you want to have a 3hr, 5hr or 7hr tour. we opted for a 5hr tour. we started at 3.5 PM and ended almost at 11PM. quite longer than we have anticipated. we ate in a traditional hotpot restaurant though. we paid also for the guide. we let us guide how to eat the hotpot in a traditional way. that was a really nice experience. I guess that is only fair to pay the guides food if the guide also extended the tour. Information-wise... i mean we went to few interesting spots. unfortunately, i couldnt remember a thing about the history.

Risposta di Andrew:
I think that one needs to take the initiative to learn about the history of an unfamiliar city. It is meaningless to rely solely on the tour guide's sharing, no matter how much information the tour guide provides about the city, if you don't listen carefully. It is a challenging task to send messages to guests to fill out reviews. Remember to request at least 3 times. Initially, you booked a 5-hour tour guide service, but I provided you with an additional 4 hours for free, which almost delayed my last subway train home. I wish you a pleasant trip to China. By the way, during the tour, I welcome and listen openly to any questions guests have about the city, and I am happy to share my personal insights into the city, which do not represent all Chongqing people. Finally, you told me you’d like to experience more city walks in the Mother City, I’ve shared some free classic walks with you. Anyway, Thank you for filling out the review for me. Wish you a happy trip to China:)
