As it turned out I was the only one who booked the tour that day, but Evan was so kind to do the tour also just with myself. I appreciated it a lot! Communication before the tour was very easy and straight forward via WhatsApp. The meeting point was easy to find and Evan was there at the agreed time. At all times Evan was very pleasant to be around, very easy to talk to and had a calm presence. He mentioned right away that his approach to tell these true crime stories is not one of sensationalism which I couldn't agree with more. He told the stories in an intriguing, fact based way and always pointed out when some parts of the stories weren't proven 100% to have happened that way. Its always good to have a little mystery left anyway! The stories were very varied from different time periods and he also told background information about the different times. Some of the characters even live on til today. Evan is very knowledgeable and has been doing this or similar activities for many years. And you can feel his paasion for the Liberties! The not planned (I think) story about the passing by ice cream truck gave the whole tour an unexpected twist. If you're looking for a special tour about a more tailored topic rather than a general one and want a great guide, book this tour. And don't forget to ask about the ice cream truck ;-)

Evan did a fantastic job showing us places and parts of the city that we would normally have walked right past. His stories were engaging, relevant, and connected historical events to what is still happening today, which made the experience even more interesting. We learned so much in such a short amount of time. Evan was also very open to suggestions and took into account our personal interests, making the tour feel tailored to us. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. If we return in the future, we would gladly book another tour with Evan and would highly recommend him to others!

Evan was a fantastic tour guide, and I’m so glad I joined his tour during my limited time in Dublin. Our group was small with just four people which made it easy to hear everything, ask questions, and engage throughout the experience. Evan is an excellent storyteller, weaving together mysterious and often horrific true crime events from Dublin’s past and present, particularly in the Liberties area. The combination of historical context, local insight, and compelling storytelling made this one of the most interesting tours I’ve taken in a major European city. Evan is very knowledgeable and bases his info on research, which is fantastic. He was able to give us corrected information on something we had heard prior, which changed the perspective a bit. Evan is personable and entertaining. He welcomes questions throughout the tour and respects others' time/schedules. We would highly recommend his tour and him as a tour guide and would book with him in the future!

Evan led an excellent tour that touched on stories throughout previous centuries that you won’t hear on any other tour! I appreciated his intriguing storytelling style and excellent communication throughout the whole experience. He went above and beyond multiple times, for example by making sure we went by a coffee shop so I could grab a quick coffee when the jet lag set in, by keeping an eye on time and the route to ensure I would be able to make it to my next commitment, and by sending recommendations he’d thought of after the tour! He also did a great job answering questions and being both personable and professional. Highly recommend joining Evan on a tour to see a side of Dublin’s history you won’t get anywhere else!

I'm from near the Liberties in Dublin and I thought I knew it all until I went on this tour! From the first few minutes I learned so much new stuff and this continued for the duration of the tour. Evan was able to present wonderful facts combined in engaging stories about what’s been going on in this area over the past few centuries and right up to the present day. The walk was not difficult or long, the time just seemed to fly. I would recommend this tour not only to visitors to Dublin but also to locals - as I said, I learned so much about where I'm from. Great tour, great guide.

The tour with Evan was absolutely outstanding. Evan is an incredibly knowledgeable and engaging guide who brings history vividly to life. His storytelling combines fascinating historical detail with just the right amount of eerie, true-crime atmosphere, making the entire experience both exciting and deeply informative. He was also able to answer every question with ease, showing just how much expertise he has. This felt like a true premium experience from start to finish. Easily one of the best tours we’ve ever done. Highly recommended!
