Welcome to the Met! Our adventure begins at the pharaoh statue located in the Great Hall at the scheduled meeting time, setting the stage for our highlights exploration of this cultural landmark.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, which houses over 2 million art pieces spanning a remarkable 5,000 years, provides an extraordinary overview of art history. During our guided experience, we will uncover the exceptional works that contribute to the museum's esteemed global reputation.
Our exploration launches at the Egyptian Galleries, where we will behold the magnificent Temple of Dendur, dating back to 10 B.C. Next, we will proceed to the American Wing to appreciate pivotal artworks such as “Washington Crossing the Delaware” - a significant emblem of American independence and identity.
Following this, we will venture into the European Wing, where masterworks from celebrated artists such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, Monet, Van Gogh, and Degas await. We will explore the Baroque and Impressionist art movements, deepening our appreciation of their cultural influence. Our journey will culminate with Modern and Contemporary art pieces featuring luminaries like Pablo Picasso and Jackson Pollock.
Finally, we will arrive at the Greek and Roman Art section, stepping into a recreated Roman villa bedroom, offers a compelling glimpse into life during the time of Mt. Vesuvius’s eruption.
After an enlightening two hours of exploration through the highlights of the Met, we will conclude our tour.

It is important to bear in mind that the museum's ongoing restoration and conservation efforts may result in alterations to our itinerary. Additionally, some artworks may not be available for viewing during your visit; a comparable substitute artwork from the same era will be included instead.

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the pharaoh statue inside the Great Hall of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, located at 1000 5th Ave, New York, NY 10028, United States.
Please be sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time, so you have time to pass through security.

Please note that due to restoration and conservation efforts by the museum, the order of the itinerary may change. Additionally, please keep in mind that some pieces may not be on display on the day of your visit, and a substitute piece from the same time period will be visited instead.
