The tour will take you through the heart of Paris from its origins, crossing the île de la Cité, the place chosen by Julius Caesar to found the Roman city of Lutetia. Ancient walled city built on an island where the first palace of the French kings and the imposing Notre Dame cathedral will be located.
Before the Louvre and Versailles, the monarchs resided in a palace that would ironically become the prison where Marie Antoinette would spend her last days. It also has one of the jewels of radiant French Gothic art, the Sainte Chapelle. We will see the exterior of other iconic monuments such as the Conciergerie, the Palace of Justice and the Pont Neuf.
