About the tour

Crossing the wonderful Galata Bridge begins the story in which the city of Istanbul is divided. Precisely between the old and the new as it was known during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Explored by the Genoeses and the Levantines, it became a Mediterranean mixture of several cultures.

This part of the city becomes the modern and secular place that continues its tradition until these days. We will see the interesting mixed between jewishs and orthodox Christian churches without forgetting the elegance and the aristocratic atmosphere that was breathed at that time.

On this tour we will visit:

* Grand Old Station

* Galata Bridge

* Galata Tower

*Orthodox Christian churches

* Ottoman Kiosk

*Jewish heritage

* Vintage and bohemians cafes of the area

* Buildings of the republican era of Istanbul.

*Istiklal street

* Taksim Square and much more on this street walking tour.

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!
