Hi! I'm Nick, MIT '85, Northwestern '87 and INSEAD '90 (MBA). 57, native of Patissia in Athens, Greece. Decision Science, Finance and Strategy. I speak English, French and Modern Greek and know good Ancient Greek from school. I also can chat in German, Dutch, Spanish, Italia, Irish and other languages because I've worked in Brussels at BUSINESSEUROPE and most of my 12000 friends (online and in real life (Patissia)) are foreigners or think like foreigners (lol). I am a global nomad and proud of it. Ex Dropbox International Billing and Payments and Business Support agent (2017) now selling Athens and Oropos real estate and working pro bono for SYRIZA and Greece. Spent 2003-2012 in Kolonaki and Patissia as a 24/7 carer for my 78 yo mom (Alzheimer's), wealth manager and EU-global affairs blogger/vlogger and poet. I know Greek and EU bureaucracy and overlegislation. Before that I worked for Rothmans Tobacco, SEV/BusinessEurope (Brussels), the Greek Ministry of Labour as well as Touche Ross and did freelance management consulting. So left Greece in 2012 at 50 and vagabonded around the EU, Instabul and Georgia mainly by train and rented cars. In 2014 I got married in Tbilisi. In 2016 I got the Dropbox job, now Real Estate and SYRIZAGreece. My tours are new and are full of facts, trivia, insights and, hopefully, humor. I talk a lot but you can ask me any question you want any time during the walk (fully interactive). Groups of 2 to 20, national (eg British or American) or inter-national and inter-cultural. I can explain Athens from your perspective, not Greece's provided you let me know which that is, either before the walk or during the walk. The tour can be on foot and/or public transport (1.6E per person for 100 minutes) any time of the day (or even night since my current job is very flexible as well (real estate sales)). We can visit ancient sites or shops and stop at McDonalds at Syntagma or the free kitchen the Church offers downtown or any fancy restaurant, as your group prefers (you pool to cover my cost if so). I know most of the City of Athens very well and its pros and cons. Can design special walks for your team at no extra cost. You pay only via tips anything from zero to 1,000,000 Euros, no worries, I love this job. Looking forward to hearing from you. Please specify when you book the start time that suits you best and types of places you want to be taken to. You will. Nick
About the tour
Athens is my native city and I love it. 2018 Athens has great areas! It also has some parts destroyed by the 2010 Greek Crisis. This innovative tour is offered to visitors who wish to get a taste of Athens' Other Side. It is offered in daylight or nightime. I walk you through Bronx like parts of the city and you experience first hand the homeless, the excluded, the red lights. Not an easy tour but I will keep you safe. Cost: your and my public transport. You tip in the end. Times: 11am-1pm, 9pm-11pm. The morning one includes free food at the Greek Church yard at the center. You dress down and bring a bottle of water. U leave valuables at your hotel and take little money and a photocopy of your passport. Omonia, Kotzia Square, Metaxourgio, Agios Panteleimonas, Fylis St,
