Free Tour Literary Quarter. The Golden Age

  • We will stroll through the streets of Madrid's most bohemian neighborhood, uncovering the most curious stories and anecdotes left by writers in the city. Corners to walk and discover other times.

The most important avenue in this neighborhood is Huertas Street, where we will see how a place of orchards ended up being the epicenter of literary Madrid. Writers such as Cervantes, Quevedo, and Lope de Vega lived in this neighborhood.

We will discover the stories of illustrious writers from the 16th to the 20th centuries. The fights and loves of Lope de Vega, the rivalry between Quevedo and Góngora, the curious and hectic life of Cervantes.
