Tour description

Learn about the history of the Netherlands and Amsterdam from its beginnings as a fishing village, to the controversial history of prostitution and legalization of marijuana, we will admire the most emblematic buildings of the city, and visit the most popular neighborhoods visited by tourists and locals . We will start the free tour in Dam Square, considered the heart of the city, here was the first dam of the Ámstel river in the thirteenth century. Behind a discreet door, Spuistrrat, we will find the Beguinage, here single women and widows lived because of wars and other circumstances, spent their lives dedicated to helping the most disadvantaged. In the Jewish quarter, one of the most popular neighborhoods will see the old house of Rembrandt and the Waterlooplein market. We continue towards the last vestige of the Waag wall, known for its famous café-restaurant. From there we will go to the Oudekerk church, the first built in the city of Amsterdam. In this same area is El Barrio Rojo, known for its neons and showcases. We will finish at the Central Station, the main railway station built on three artificial islets more than 100 years old. We will put the finishing touch of our visit on the edge of one of the best known canals in the city, the Prinsengracht. For all those who wish to take the boat trip through the canals of Amsterdam, our guide will advise and help them with the purchase of tickets.
