Come and explore the most emblematic and fascinating places of Moscow in our tour through the historical center of the city with our best professional guide.
We will contemplate the great Arc de Triomphe on Kutuzovsky Avenue. From here we will take a short walk to the Victory Park, where we will decipher the symbolism of its monuments in relation to World War II. The park is located on Poklonnaya Hill, one of the highest points in Moscow. In this place we will find the Orthodox temple of the Church of St. George and the World War II memorial, called in Russia "The Great Patriotic War". In the center of the park is the Obelisk of Victory. The obelisk has a height of 141.8 meters, and represents the 1,418 days that Russia was immersed in the world war. Right in front of the obelisk stands the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. Inside there are different didactic panels and various dioramas of decisive battles that illustrate the conflict. You can also see original objects of weapons, war engineering and other pieces dating from 1941 to 1945, a period in which Russia (at that time the USSR) participated in World War II. We will finish the tour by returning to Parque de la Victoria. Does not include subway ticket.
