In case you want to do the tour please contact me, specially if you are booking the same day!! In order to see if I can do it, I need 4 people inscribed. The tour can be done in english, spanish and portuguese, but each tour is only given in one language depending of the people that have already booked that day. So please contact me via GuruWalk to ensure that day is given in the language you need! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I am passionate about discovering history, in the same place that happened. For that I travel Buenos Aires, observe, read and study old photos. And then I prepare a guided tour! I studied theater 4 years with Carolina Adamovsky, I did a 4 month course "Guided Visit: conceptual framework, planning and guidance techniques" by Roberto García Coni (Centro Cultural Rojas, 2018) and another 4 month course "Barrios de Buenos Aires" dictated also by Roberto García Coni (2018). Argentine history is exciting, and I would love to share it with others!! Welcome to BA!

We will meet at Plaza Italia (subway station D), heart of Palermo neighborhood. There will begin the guided tour discovering under our feet the living history of Argentina!

- We will learn from the two foundations of Buenos Aires, knowing the history of each and how were the first years of this city.

- We will visit the neighborhood of Palermo, discovering its origin as an area of orchards and fruit trees 300 years ago.

- We will walk through the lands of Juan Manuel de Rosas, who was governor of the province of Buenos Aires, becoming, between 1835 and 1852, the main Argentine caudillo.

- We will visit the Argentinian Horse Racecourse, founded in 1876 and place of the most popular sport of the Argentines at the beginning of the 20th century.

- We will know the history of tango, how to dance it and what are the rules to follow when dancing in a milonga.

- We will learn what is "mate", the national drink of the Argentines.

I love the idea of showing the story in the same place that happened, and that happens in this guided tour. Welcome to Buenos Aires!

The tour with Esteban was probably one of the best tours we have ever taken (and we have taken a lot). Even on a very cold & cloudy winter day with only very few registered people, Esteban took us through Palermo with lots of interesting facts about the general history of Argentina and the specialties of Palermo. He was very knowledgeable and full of interesting anecdotes. And he topped it of with a special destination for a surprise. Make sure to book this tour, it's 100% recommended.
