My name is Youssef; I'm an official tour guide (full-time job), and guiding visitors has always been my passion. It represents the rich history and variety of culture and traditions we have in Morocco. It is all that I have been about since I quit my university back in 2017, and I'm lucky enough to do what I love the most.

Tour description

If you get bored by the city walls and feel like you want to change the atmosphere you are in, this tour is definitely a great choice to discover and see something different. The day will start from your riad, where our driver will pick you up at 9:00 in the morning; we will drive out of Marrakech through Imlil, the high Atals mountains. On our way we will also enjoy different points of view as we will have the possibility to stop in different places like "Azrou", one of the oldest perper villages in the area. Afterwards, we will continue our way to the second stop to have a look at the opaque argan oil where most of the women from the different villages work. This will also give you a chance to understand how they transform the argan nut into the different types of argan oil. Then we will start our journey again to reach the Imlil valley, between the incredible and incredible mountains. After our last stop, we will also take a moment to relax and have some water, coffee or tea. After the break, you should start hiking in the Atlas Mountains to explore and learn a lot of information about the area and also about the way of life of the people, including their salons. The tour lasts approximately 2:30 to 3:00. Afterwards we will have lunch in a real and traditional casa perpera. On the way back we will make a last stop where you can take a camel ride and enjoy the beautiful view in the wonderful valley. This is the perfect way to find out more about our country. You will return to Marrakech at around 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm. The tour and drinks in Imlil will be free, you just need to pay for the transport, the camel ride.
