About the guru Quimi and Dani

Both born and raised in Girona, Quimi lived abroad for many years before he decided to come back to his beloved city and start showing its history, secrets and, essentially, its way of life, to visitors. Dani left his boring job as a lawyer and went traveling for a long time when he realized his life, passion and heart where back in his hometown.

About the tour

We will start the tour in Plaça Catalunya, where I'll introduce you to the City of Girona, it's origins and why it has changed so much in the past 10 years.

We'll enter the Old Town right there and talk about it's history, legends and the way of life in the past and now, while looking at old pictures and discussing the effects tourism and gentrification have here.

We'll keep walking north, seeing some Game of Thrones filming locations and walking through the Jewish Quarter, where we'll learn about all the Jewish history we can find here, and until the Cathedral.

We'll leave the Wall of the Old Force there, see the Basilica and cross the Onyar into the neighborhood of Mercadal. We'll cross the river again, to enter the Rambla and finish close to the meeting point.
