Hello dear Visitors! I am a local, I was born and raised in Istanbul and I love showing my city from different angles to foreigners. Besides Turkish, I can speak English ,Italian and Spanish. My Spanish is not good as Italian and my Italian is not good as my English. That's why I prefer to speak in English. IMPORTANT: If you can’t send me the confirmation/ whatsapp number and if you don’t have internet please don’t book or cancel your booking for not taking other people’s space. Only max 5 people can participate my tour for now. I can do the tour if there are at least 3 people in the group. If there is only 1 person I have to cancel the tour. Besides when the meeting day arrives, before the tour I need confirmation of the bookings, whatsapp numbers of the participants and the people who participate should have internet all the time. So I can send the participants meeting location and the other details. I have to cancel the tour if I can’t reach the participants by internet on the tour day.
Istanbul has Yıldız Park overlooking the Bosphorous with variable trees, flowers, artificial lakes, museums and historical wooden chalets . Yıldız Park is very special because it is covering an area of 500.000 square meters and it is very close to the center which is between Besiktas, Balmumcu and Ortakoy. It is located on the hill and behind Yıldız Technical University. It has different entrance doors from the lower part and upper part of the park. The ottoman style wooden chalets are being used as a restaurant and cafe nowadays. It has 2 beautiful artificial lakes inside. We will visit the new and old lake , we will walk inside the park and discover the hidden parts of it.
You can enjoy the fresh oxygen air and the nature if you need peace and relax.
Also it will be a good exercise because the park is on the hill.
We will meet at Yıldız Park’s upper entrance door which is close to Malta kosk ( Malta mansion). The entrance door (only for pedestrians) is just infront of the mansion which is currently a restaurant/ cafe. It is a smaller entrance door if I compare with the one next (100 meters away) to it which the cars can also enter.
After visiting Yıldız Park we will walk to Ortakoy. Ortakoy is a cute neighbourhood by the sea and the highlights are Ortakoy mosque, Ortakoy bazaar, the view from Ortakoy, pebble stoned narrow streets, cafes, pubs and eating kumpir (baked potatoes with tapas inside) ,waffles, kokorec & mussels. You can take nice pictures of the mosque and bosphorous bridge while we are in Ortakoy.
Please share your whatsapp number so I can send the should have internet all the front of the upper entrance door of Yıldız Park on Palanga street (very close to sarı köşk) - waiting you with a black tshirt
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
