Cradle of the greatest figure of Spanish literature, Miguel de Cervantes, the monumental town of Alcalá de Henares has held the title of World Heritage City by UNESCO since December 2, 1998, being among the cities with the greatest number of assets of cultural interest throughout Spain .
Despite this and in a very unfair way, it continues to be a great unknown for many of the visitors who have arrived in Madrid and who want to get to know their surroundings in addition to the capital. Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
