In this tour I will explain the origins of the largest park in Manhattan. The 341-hectare park is the lung of the island, and is a beauty at any time of the year.
We will cross the southern part of the park, entering from 59th East Street until 72 West. We will start at the corner of Grand Army Plaza, and from there we will enter the park until we reach "The Pond".
We will see iconic bridges like the Gapstow and the Bow. We will pass by the Zoo and the Arsenal, the sculptures of Balto and Alice in Wonderland. We will walk through the heart of the park to Bethesda Terrace and the Lake. And we'll border it until we reach John Lennon's memorial.
In front of the golden sculpture of General Sherman. I will have a stick with a blue duck.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
