I am a licenced tourism guide living in Bucharest, with a deep love for my beautiful city and its stories. I like sharing these stories, and I like to see how happy people are, when they discover this beautiful, complicated and interesting city. My passions include traveling, reading, painting, and talking about every single thing in the known Universe. I studied Biology and I have a master degree in Neuroscience, but my greatest joy was to travel, so I took all possible classes of tourism for a couple of years, in which I took all licences required. At the end of these classes, it was clear for me that this is what I want to do: travel, share my passion, talking about my beautiful city with all the people that want to see and get to know it. Bucharest is gorgeous for many reasons: - it has an interesting, complicated and fascinating history - it has many architectural styles, that can remind you of Paris, Vienna or Moscow - it has amazing arts museums, palaces and parks - its night life is quite thrilling - it`s cheaper than most other European capitals. I love to talk about all of these aspects, to share the stories of the beutiful buildings, and to enjoy a nice walk with people from all over the world.
Bucharest, once known as "Little Paris”, has amazing palaces where all cultural events are happening, beautiful museums and outstanding galleries for the most unusual art forms. Most of them have a free entrance ticket too, so that is a bonus.
I invite you to one of the most beautiful guided tours through Bucharest, held by me, a licensed tourism guide, in love with this beautiful city and its history and culture. As a bonus, I will show you the interiors of the buildings we will see in books and printed photographies.
A few of the attractions of this tour are:
- The Romanian Athenaeum
- Galateca Art Gallery
- Theodor Aman Art Museum
- Artmark Auction House
- The Revolution Square
- Many more
Remember that this is a free tour, and the suggested support for the guide is a minimum of 10€. Note that visiting the Romanian Athenaeum and the Theodor Aman Arts Museum costs 15 lei (around 3 euros).
Important: Please book your tour at least 2 hours before it starts (preferably 1 day before, and keep in touch for details).
If you enjoy this tour, please consider leaving a nice review here too:
In front of the Romanian Athenaeum, holding a big rainbow-colored umbrella, and a folder full of pictures of the interiors of the buildings we will see.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
