we take you on a unique Free Walking Tour through Lisbon. Our way leads us along the most beautiful viewpoints in the picturesque old town districts Baixa-Chiado, Bairro Alto, Alfama and up to Graca. Together we will enjoy the most beautiful views over the shining roofs of the Portuguese metropolis on the banks of the Tagus. At the same time we will tell you something about the history of the country and the city as well as about the life in Lisbon and the Portuguese culture, which we are allowed to experience every day.
We (Manuel & Jörg) met about 4 years ago while working in Portugal and have been pretty much best friends ever since. Even then, our greatest joy was spending our free time at the picturesque viewpoints and enjoying the unique panoramic views over the old town while having a coffee.
We just love the Portuguese life and the unique viewpoints of this beautiful place. We would like to share this experience with you and have put together this unique tour along the most attractive viewpoints, using public transport to get around hilly Lisbon in a relaxed way.
Together we will visit 6 different viewpoints (Portuguese: Miradouros) and use the nostalgic streetcars (E28) and elevators (Elevador Gloria) for the steep alleys (and longer walks). Our route starts at Praca dos Restaurtatores and takes us along many famous squares as well as churches and unique buildings with breathtaking history.
On our tour, we not only enjoy the unique views, but also like to take the time to have a coffee together with the famous Portuguese specialty Pastel de Nata. In addition, public toilets and stores are located on our way for further refreshments.
