Hello Travelers!! Nice to meet you, I am Roberto Guru from Mexico City, I studied Tourism, as I love to travel, and fortunately I have known some countries ... My taste for wanting to be a guide began by taking a Teen Tour, I even took tours with this company and I would like to share with you the beauty of my country: Culture, Traditions, Gastronomy and why not give some tips in this city and feel like a local more. I consider myself a cheerful, charismatic and helpful person.
In this free walking tour you will discover with me one of the most visited religious destinations in the world. At the foot of the Tepeyac Hill, we will visit the current Basilica of Guadalupe, the second most visited Catholic precinct, only surpassed by the Basilica of St. Peter in Rome. We will stop at the old basilica that currently functions as an atoning temple to Cristo Rey. Then, we will climb to Tepeyac hill through a steep staircase until we reach the Capilla del Cerrito, built at the site of the first appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe, popularly remembered as the miracle of fresh flowers. We will continue the tour approaching the old nasturtium convent where the Museum of the Basilica of Guadalupe is currently located. Here, we can admire an impressive collection of more than 4,000 pieces of new-Hispanic art linked to the cult of Guadalupe. Before finishing the tour we will have time to visit a typical market, in case you want to buy a Mexican souvenir or mexican candy, it will be the ideal time.
At the exit of the metro LA VILLA-BASILICA, red line. I will have a black and white cap
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
