I am 33 years old, I am married, I am passionate about languages, my favorite hobby is to play ball, and above all things I love God. I study Russian, and I have studied French for 4 years. I am very communicative, I am passionate about reading, nature, the rivers, appreciate architecture and know about history. I love being a guide because I like to teach people the interesting places that are in my city. I also love knowing their cultures and communicating in other languages.
About the tour
My tour is about history, because I want my audience to understand the historical facts that comprise a period, before and after 1959.
We will start by visiting the National hotel built in 1930, something that makes it special is that this majestic hotel was visited by Josephin Backer and Walt Disney,
Near there, we will visit the quarries of San Lázaro, where Jose Martín was imprisoned. After visiting this place closely linked to Marti's life, we will move to the University of Havana, built in 1908, from where Fidel Castro would leave to attack the Moncada barracks in Santiago de Cuba.
The Revolution Square will be our next destination, where Castro would speak, sometimes for more than 5 hours. This is the most emblematic place of politics in Cuba. We can see the great figure that adorns the square with the face of Che, also Camilo Cienfuegos, and he monument to Jose Martin,
Finally we will go to the Christopher Columbus cemetery, one of the largest in the world, built in 1871 and declared a World Heritage Site in 1982. It stores more than 2 million burial in its 56 hectares, and only meters from this place, we will see the building where Fidel first declared the character of the Cuban socialist revolution.
I think that walking through these places will give you a good opportunity to get to know the city and have an idea of its inhabitants, to know about reality before and after the revolutionary triumph, to see things that you may not have seen in other places in the world, and I am sure that you will get a general idea of the Cubans. Any questions you ask will be welcome!
