Barrio de las Letras tour: Madrid de Oro

Hi, I'm Carlos Guru from Madrid. I consider myself a pleasant and fun, friendly person; lover of letters, culture and theater. I love to show the city, its culture, its curiosities and the echoes of its people: its voices and their stories, its anecdotes and thoughts. Madrid is part of me and here are my origins and from here my desire to tell is born. This is my story: I have studied dramatic art and Hispanic philology, and not happy with it, I studied tourism promotion to know how to reach people all I had to tell. Although my journey really began there in 2005 when I began to make routes through my beloved Alcala de Henares. I was a simple animator on a theatrical route but great adventures awaited me: Cervantes Train, Traveling Tenorio ... and then some Free Tours in the capital showing the Madrid of the Austrias and the lyrics. The good thing is that I continue doing theater and learning about the cultural world and the history of Madrid: I don't stop learning and I don't stop sharing curiosities with all the tourists that come to the city and I love that. Now I make this route available to everyone interested in anecdotes and spaces where they talked about culture, but also about their people, about life, the most traditional and real Madrid: I want to share it with you, because I love my job, to know people and get to know more and more the corners of the city of Madrid and, of course, share it with you.
