Montmartre Free Walking Tour: From Moulin Rouge to Sacré Coeur

Duration: 1h and 30min
Languages: English
Registered on December 10, 2019

We are Discover Walks: Europe's #1 for custom and private tours. When you pick a tour, you ask yourself: does it rate high? But you can also ask: will they both show me the must-see landmarks and “take me backstage” for a taste of the real city? Do they keep their groups small, with good facetime with the guide? Will my guide be not some expat, but a true local with a passion for her/his hometown? A guide able to give me more than just facts, dates and figures? In other words, will I be just another tourist? Or will they “lift the curtain” for me? Discover Walks creates tours that include both the tourist must-sees and locals’ hidden gems. We select guides who are true locals with great personalities. We train them to be engaging and personable and to tell a story well. We keep our groups small, by adding an extra guide when necessary. Welcome on our tours!

This tour was great! You could see her passion from the way she talked about this area and Paris, overall. I have been to Paris a few times but this was such a treat to see a neighborhood that has so much culture to it that felt like it was off the beaten track. If you’re an art lover, you’ll really enjoy all of the points of interest, as you will see places important to Pablo Picasso and Vincent Van Gough. We had a smaller group (5 of us, guide included) so we were able to move around quickly and ask many questions. Even in a larger group, the information given would have been awesome without the additional questions. 10/10 recommend! I’ll definitely be checking out one of their other tours when I return!
