Much more than a political ideology, communism was a mandatory way of life. Travel with us behind the Iron Curtain as we explore soviet remnants of Eastern Bloc Bratislava and the contradictions in Slovakia's Socialist Regime. Bratislava occupied a unique place in history by sitting directly on the iron curtain. Our aim is to take you away from the touristy side of the city to discover how this controversial regime impacted directly on the daily lives of Slovaks. Some aspects were positive, some were negative, most was controversial and all is fascinating. The tour includes all Bratislava's major socialist sights, as well as many intriguing forgotten spots key to this period including: -Candle demonstration memorial -Scenes of Espionage -UFO Bridge -Petrzalka -Socialist Realism Statues -Slovak National Uprising square -Freedom Square -Pioneers' Headquarters -Pyramid Radio Station -Socialist Artwork & Propaganda
