Tour description

Pisa is not just the Leaning Tower, it is much more!

The walking tour begins in Vittorio Emanuele II square, and it ends up in Piazza dei Miracoli,  where the Leaning Tower is located.

We will start our tour with some modern art, we will see the famous murales by the legendary pop artist Keith Haring. Then we will visit Loggia dei Banchi, and we’ ll talk about the costumes and traditions of Pisa.  Later we will cross the river on the most famous bridge Ponte di Mezzo and we will explore the old streets of Borgo Stretto, with it's typical shops and cafes, and we'll discover the heart of Pisa: Piazza delle Vettovaglie.

Later we will visit Piazza dei Cavalieri, with a focus on the Medici family, and then continue to Piazza dei Miracoli, where we will talk about the architectural masterpieces of the Medieval period.

This square will make you travel through time, as we talk about the enormous power and influence of the Maritime Republic of Pisa in the past; we will start with the history of the Duomo, then the Baptistery, and last but not least the Leaning Tower.

During our walk we will also talk about the typical food of Pisa, and I will give you some tips about my favorite places :)

Alberto is an excellent guide, funny and interesting. His stories about the city of Pisa kept our attention for the whole 2 hours of the tour. The itinerary of the tour is very well planned with one important stop at the street food place just to try a local specialty - cecina pisana! I loved it! The only thing missing was a glass of prosecco at the end of the tour! :-) I highly recommend Alberto's tour of Pisa.

The Pisa Tour with Alberto was extremely informative and entertaining. He blended historic and modern day facts perfectly and gave us a deep understanding for the city and its people and culture. Have done numerous walking tours and this one was definitely one of the best ever!

Excelente tour con Gabriele. No sólo nos llevó por los principales lugares de Pisa contándonos sus historias de una forma muy dinámica sino que también hablamos de otros temas que iban surgiendo. Fue una gran experiencia y la repetiría.
