About the Tour

Learn from the hand of an official guide the history of Almería from its foundation in 955 until today, passing through its main stages: Muslim, Christian and contemporary Almería. Throughout the tour they will get to know the main monuments of the city, highlighting among them the Alcazaba de Almería, the Plaza Vieja and the Cathedral of the Incarnation. Throughout the tour we will also know different cultural and social details that will help us understand the most deeply rooted traditions of Almería. Route itinerary: -Presentation and description of the route. -Puerta de Purchena. -Shelters from the Civil War. -Church of Santiago. -Plaza Vieja (Town Hall, Monument to the Martyrs of Liberty and Convento de las Claras) -Alcazaba de Almería (Extensive visit to the monument)-Calle Descanso y Almedina. -Plaza Granero. -Plaza de la Catedral. -Blessed Square -Sanctuary of the Virgen del Mar. -Walk of Fame and Cervantes Theater. -End of the tour.
