A stroll through the history of Almeria

I have taken many free walking tours in Europe and this one was my absolute favourite. Usually guides cancel when only a few sign up to the tour. Not Javier. The group consisted of him and...well, me! I had an absolute blast on my personal tour through Almería with Javier. He is hilarious and made me feel very safe. I am a shy, introverted person and thought it would be awkward but not at all! Since I am on a Spanish language trip here in Almería, Javier offered to switch to Spanish and he spoke slowly for me and taught me some Spanish along the way, switching to English when I struggled with comprehension. However, from what I have heard, his English is superb! Javier seems very flexible and able to cater for all interests and wishes. What is more: I am now enchanted with Almería thanks to Javier and now have so many places to check out in the next two weeks. Thanks so much for these amazing few hours in Almería, Javier. What a great start of my stay here.
