About the Tour

This walk around Gijón will offer you the opportunity to learn about corners and anecdotes, as well as the history of the city! Gijón is history, its streets still retain the popular air, witness and protagonist of the historical events it experienced, which together with leisure and gastronomy form one of the most beautiful cities in the Spanish Cantabrian ... During the two hours that we will be together, we will know and much more. Taking as a starting point the Plaza de la Iglesia de San Pedro (on the beach) we propose a walk through the historic center of the Cimadevilla district, origin of the city and birthplace of Jovellanos and whose streets preserve stories of sailors, producers of cigars, fishmongers ... and a short walk through the streets of the most commercial center to contemplate the demimononic Gijón and the early twentieth century with its modernist or Art-Déco architecture, in short, everything that has given it its current character. In addition, we offer you the opportunity to purchase one of the 6 walks in Gijón in pocket format with hand drawings at the end of the tour. to remember what you have visited and have the chance to know other beautiful corners that you did not have the opportunity to do during your visit and we will give you options so that you can continue enjoying Gijón and Asturias on your own.
