I am a 28 year old Chilean living in Berlin for two years and doing tours for one. I really like history, architecture and art in general. I am flexible in schedules.
On this tour you will be able to learn all the history related to the Berlin Wall, from its construction to its dismantling, passing through historical moments such as the end of the Second World War and the subsequent Cold War. Discover the iconic and most important places of this structure in the city and what their stories and protagonists were. Let's cross the Berlin Wall together and review its history step by step by visiting everything about it: - Palace of Tears (former border customs office) - Ghost stations - Memorial of the Wall. - The Wall Documentation Center. - Tunnels and demolished buildings. - A part of the Death Strip that is preserved to this day. The tour ends at the Bernauer Strasse (U8) U-bahn stop which connects directly to Alexanderplatz. * Requires zone AB short-haul ticket.
Palace of Tears on the S-Bahn Friedrichstrasse. I will wear a pink mask.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
