I know quite well Puglia and Matera. I'm so lucky to live in this area and I enjoy guiding travellers through this amazing region to share with them its amazing architecture, interesting history, unique nature ... and tasty food and wine. I like to show, in a funny and professional way, the soul of the places, the way of living and thinking of local people ... in a few words the real Puglia. Usually, my tours are scheduled, designed for small groups, focused on the highlights of the city and suitable for everyone (even families with children, people with small walking difficulties or diet restrictions) but we can arrange some customizations in order to meet in a perfect way your needs. We will respect all the COVID-19 protocols and security measures to enjoy the tour in a friendly and safe way.

About the Tour

An amazing walking tour to discover the city center of Brindisi with more than 2000 years of history.

Along this wonderful itinerary we will enjoy some archeological findings dating back rom the roman time (the ending columns of the Appian Way and S. Pietro degli Schiavoni excavations), the church of S. Giovanni al Sepolcro built by the chilvalric order of the Canons Regular of the Holy Sepulchre, the romanesque church of S. Benedetto, the gotic church of S. Paolo eremita, the interesting cathedral, the port (since ancient times in the middle of trades, pilgrimage and crusades).

During the tour it's possible to visit the daily market (where local people buy fruits, vegetables, fish) and to taste some wine, evoo, typical food, artesanal icecreams: in case the tastings will be arranged and paid at the moment.

Meeting point: Open in Google Maps

How to find me: Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II on the corner with Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi. Next to "La baracchina del porto"
