Dear adventurers, My name is Juan Carlos, I was born in Jerez, Spain, but I have been living in Munich for the last four years. History, the arts, and traveling have always been my passion, and becoming a tour guide three years ago was the best way to combine those passions with my job while studying my BA in History and Arts. As a tour guide I can enjoy sharing my taste for culture with you travelers, while I continue to learn, travelers always have something to contribute and sometimes they make you see things with different eyes. In Bayern you will find one of the most beautiful regions in the world, with great culture, incredible landscapes, palaces and museums, whether in cities like Munich or Nurenberg or in the surrounding areas like Neuschwanstein in the Alps. Together we will discover a land with deep traditions, but very welcoming and open at the same time. See you in Munich!
Hauptstadt der Bewegung, capital of the movement, is how Munich was known during the Third Reich, one of the most terrifying and interesting periods in German and world history. The consequences of the First World War and the unstable Weimar Republic found in Munich the conditions for the Putsch led in 1923 by Adolf Hitler, a young Austrian with great political ambitions. Let's discover the beginnings of the Nazi party and the man who led the world to war, the Putsch and its subsequent seizure of power, the influence and the power of the party over society and art, the Kristallnacht (night of broken glass), the heroic Munich resistance movement and much more. Visiting the historical places where the events took place in some of the original buildings that are still standing.
On the central column (Maria / Mariensäule column) at Marienplatz, I will carry a green colored identification with my name.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
