Hello everyone! I am José Luis founder of Free Walking Tour Cusco. I was born in this city and I have been a hiking guide in Machu Pichu for many years, in fact I have visited it more than 400 times. As a result, I decided to create my own Free Tours company in 2016 so that travelers can discover the true history of the ancient city of Cusco. With me you will discover a very authentic and local explanation about the capital of the Inca society. We currently form a team of 3 guides willing to make you discover this wonderful city and discover the most important things about Cusco.
Free Walking Tour Cusco: You will walk for just over 2 hours, and 15 minutes through the most emblematic places of the ancient city of Cusco. This interesting tour focuses on the city's history, architecture, art, and local customs. Places to be visited during the tour:
* We always start from the "Inca statue" right in the middle of Main Square (Plaza de Armas), Cusco downtown.
* The old Cusco town map, the "Puma shape town" of Incan time.
* The very center of the Inca trails, Cusco town used to be the center of the Inca land.
* The unique Sun street, just below the Starbucks.
* Pictures with baby llama, and baby alpacas (optional 5 soles per person).
* You will get to know how to prepare "corn beer" (Monday to Friday).
* The Sun temple (Qoricancha), and its most perfect inca wall.
* Inside the residence of Pachacutec, the ninth Inca ruler (Monday to Friday) otherwise just outside.
* Gigantic inca's stone wall of 2 to 8 tons fitted together, the Palace of Inca Roca.
* The twelve-angled stone.
* The way up to the colonial San Blas neighborhood.
* The square of San Blas neighborhood.
* A panoramic view of Cusco city from San Blas neighborhood look out.
Please, do not get confused! I only await you in front of the "Inca statue" right in the middle of Main Square (Plaza de Armas), Cusco downtown always wearing a red T-shirt of "Free Walking Tour Cusco". Ask for Jose Martinez.
