Hi, I am Kristina! I have been a part of the Association of Bulgarian Tour Guides since 2018. I am an open-minded young person, who loves the communication with new people from all around the world. For me would be a great pleasure to meet and spend some time together!
The main street of Plovdiv is a lovely pedestrian street with a total length of 1.8km, which makes it the longest pedestrian street in Europe. It is a picturesque combination of architecture and history. Next to it is the so called Kapana - also known as the creative district of Plovdiv, which is a lovely place with an unique atmosphere. It is called Kapana because it is like a trap- people could easily get lost in it.
Even for the local people, this district is a place that always offers something new to be seen- from a new art installation (and graffities) to a new place for spending the night drinking a glass of wine( or maybe a craft beer).. or eating a delicious meal. There are not only cafes and restaurants, but also lovely little local shops which offer handmade clothes, jewelers and souvenirs. All the things are beautiful and made in the spirit of the Kapana: they are colorful and made from eco-friendly materials. Not by chance, Kapana is the heart of the city.
This tour includes a guided walk through the city center of Plovdiv and through the Kapana district. It is made for those of you who would love for the duration of the tour to relax like the local people. This tour is also perfect for those who are interested in photography because in Kapana street there are many beautiful graffities and art installations.
During our walking tour, I will show you the best places in the city, where you can take a craft beer or a glass of wine. There are also many nice restaurants in the Kapana district.
If you are searching for a different tour, which is majorly focused on presenting the everyday life in Plovdiv, or if you want to drink a beer with a local person with whom you can discuss the history of the city and all the things that you are interested about Bulgaria, this tour is perfect for you!
I will be by the Roman Stadium of Plovdiv
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
