My name is Inés, I am from Valencia (Spain) and I have been living in Delft for just over 4 years. My "normal" job is at the University of Delft and I like coffee, art, reading science fiction and history. I started doing tours almost by chance: one day I noticed that there were no tours in Spanish and it is a shame because Delft is beautiful and, today it has become one of my favorite activities and I have a great time every time I I show someone new the city.
Circular walking tour through the center of Delft.
The tour begins in the garden of the city museum , where I will explain the important role that Delft plays in the history of the Netherlands. The walk will take us from the Old Church of Delft , which is famous for being crooked , to the elegant Markt Square where we will see the town hall and the New Church . The tour returns to our starting point exploring some of the most beautiful streets of the center passing by the interpretation center of Vermeer, painter of the famous painting: Girl with a Pearl Earring.
In front of the “Prinsenhof” tram stop there is a large iron fence with a golden lion. I hope there!
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
