The Free Tour was born in 2011, as the first free tour group in Florence; since then we offer varied tours and attractiveness of great quality. Authorized guides, national officers specialized in Florence and Tuscany. We are locals, graduates, food experts organized many years ago, as tour guides in Florence!
Secret Lucca : in this little jewel of Tuscany we will discover unusual places that over the centuries have aroused the curiosity of many visitors, intellectuals, aristocrats and common people. We will leave from Piazzale Verdi to soon reach the Church of San Paolino where the young Puccini took his first steps. The second step is towards Piazza Cittadella where the musician is waiting for us to tell some anecdotes about his life. A little further on stands the Church of S. Michele with its façade full of mysterious decorative heads.
We will pass Piazza Napoleone where we will meet an extraordinary woman who won the hearts of the people of Lucca, namely Elisa Baciocchi . We will walk together along Via Fillungo which will take us straight to the Clock Tower, which will tell us the incredible story of Lucida Mansi, the black widow of Lucca , who made her beauty the weapon to earn eternity. Finally, you cannot miss the square of the Cathedral of S. Martino for the great legend of the Holy Face . A truly breathtaking route that will make you fully appreciate the grandeur of this city. Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
