Hello! Mundistour arises from the desire to satisfy and provide the best service to travelers, whether on an educational, leisure or business trip. We are a group of guides with a lot of experience in the tourism sector, who have come together to share their knowledge, their experiences, their advice and their love for this country with all those who want to join us. Our group of collaborating guides follow the pillars of Mundistour, respecting its principles, which are: RESPECT ALL OUR VISITORS. RESPECT THE ENVIRONMENT. SEEK YOUR SATISFACTION. GIVE HIM MOMENTS OF JOY AND FUN. TEACH HER HISTORY, ART… SHOW HIM THE WONDERFUL ARCHITECTURE. TELL YOU CURIOSITIES AND, WHY NOT, EVERYDAY. GUIDE AND GUIDE YOU ON YOUR VISIT TO BELGIUM SO THAT IT IS UNFORGETTABLE.
If you have already known the old part of the city, where its most emblematic buildings are centered, as well as its history, but you have been left with the curiosity, to know and know the behind the scenes of this city. We invite you to join our walk that will guide you through what is not seen with the naked eye since, you will always have the feeling that in each step we take, Ghent has more to offer to its visitors.
We will start next to the Cathedral of San Bavo , to immediately go to its sides to make a different visit of the cathedral. We will appreciate the statues of the Van Eyck brothers and, without realizing it, we will be next to the Castle of Gerardo el Diablo , from the 13th century, which goes completely unnoticed next to its neighboring cathedral. Passing next to the Reep , the only part of the Scheldt river, which passes through the center of the city. Next, we will go to a little hidden gem Achtersikkel, a small square with a tower from the 14th-15th century. And if we talk about hidden places, and since we are in one of the most important university cities in the country, we could not stop visiting the street of graffiti . In this street you will be able to appreciate the expression of the aerosol in the hands of the students or of anyone who wants to leave their ¨talent¨. Among lesser-known but charming streets, we will go to the Market Square on Friday, an important place of commerce in the city from times of yesteryear to the present day. In the square, one of the city's heroes, Jacobo de Artevelde , will be welcoming us. We will meet the popular Dulle Griet , with its peculiar and striking shoe tradition. And we will continue our walk carefully so as not to be hit by the " big canyon". If we succeed, we will be able to get to where the Patershol Quarter begins, which after a life of ups and downs, today is an attractive fashionable neighborhood , with its narrow streets and passageways from the Middle Ages. And walking along the banks of the river Lys we will arrive at Kraanlei, a pier that has been named since the 16th century due to a wooden crane installed there for years. It is in this charming place in the center of Ghent, where you can take the opportunity to quench your thirst in one of its various bars or taverns , we will conclude our interesting walk.
What we will appreciate during our tour:
Meeting point: Open in Google Maps
How to find me: Our guides will be with the umbrella open, with the world map. Next to the Cathedral of Saint Bavo.
