Tour description

  • Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to this fascinating, attractive and alternative walk through the streets of this wonderful and surprising European capital.


  • The idea is to create a tour that has a historical and chronological sense in which the history of the city is learned by following, as far as possible, its development, mixing historical dynamics to more alternative parts (the theme of art street scene in the streets of Lavapiés, the arrival of the first cinema in the capital in 1902 or the importance of flamenco music and culture ).

  • We will start in the Plaza de Juan Goytisolo , which will allow us to have a snapshot of the current structure of the city and some of its most outstanding monuments and places, such as the Prado Museum , the Reina Sofía Art Center and the Retiro Park . We will continue through the neighborhoods of Lavapiés and La Latina , to Plaza de la Paja, Plaza de la Villa and Plaza Mayor , the vibrant heart of Madrid de los Austrias . The Madrid of the Bourbons will embrace us, arriving at the Plaza de Oriente, its gardens, its majestic Royal Palace, and its Cathedral . The tour will not lack details and anecdotes about the foundation of Mayrit (the Arab Madrid) and the iconic construction of the Gran Vía ...

Un tour diverso dal solito con aneddoti storici ma anche curiosità odierne. I luoghi visitati non sono i più classici di Madrid ma ti porta alla scoperta anche di quartieri più “movimentati”. Ha un modo di spiegare le cose divertente che non annoia. Noi eravamo cotte dalla giornata ma abbiamo seguito super volentieri il tour. Consigliatissimo
