About the Guru

My name is Mirco, I'm 28 years old, I'm Sicilian and for four years I've been traveling around Sicily, to document it through short videos and tell it to the viewers. What I like above all is sharing my knowledge with tourists about Catania and Sicily in general. In absolute relax and without any hurry I will show you the center of Catania and the places of Catania's night life. - I want to clarify that I am a tour leader, not a guide, even if my intention in the future is to be a tour guide in all respects. This means that I will give you significant tourist elements on what we are going to visit, without going into details. For this reason, during my tour, I will tell you a bit of everything, going from history to archeology, from restaurants to typical local cuisine.

About the Tour

During the walking tour I want to show you the most important aspects of Catania. The tour will be divided in two parts:
- the first part is connected to the history, and the monuments of Catania;
- in the second part I will show you the restaurants, the pubs and in general the areas of nightlife in Catania.

I will also talk to you about the culture of Catania and Sicily in general and I will give you some indications of the typical food of Catania.

ATTENTION: I am NOT a tour guide, I am currently a TOUR LEADER, this means that I am going to talk to you in a GENERAL way about the history and monuments of Catania. Going into the details, staying in front of the monuments is the task and duty of the tour guide. For this reason, my tour is designed as a walk in which I am going to talk to you in a general way about Catania.

My intention is to give you a correct orientation within the center, so that you can go through it and live with total autonomy.
So don't expect me to tell you the whole story of Catania in all its details, because that's not my role.

How to find me: See you at Villa Pacini, just below the Arcos de la Marina. The entrance to the villa is on Via Cardinale Dusmet, in front of Porta Uzeda and a minute's walk from Piazza Duomo.
