We are a young team that left Spain in 2009 and we are in London to create this beautiful project. At the request of our "walkers" we grew up in Paris, Dublin, Berlin, Malaga, Cordoba and Budapest, teaching these cities to thousands of Spanish speakers. We are professional guides and we are madly in love with every corner of the cities we teach.
You will learn about the history of all the cultures that have passed through the Alcázar de Jerez, since it was the residence of the “walí” in the Almohad period and in time it was Christian with the wardens.
We will visit the interior of the walled enclosure , where the Alcázar stands , located in the highest area of the historic center.
Our Alcázar de Jerez Free Tour begins with the Villavicencio Palace , we will enter the interior of this baroque palace to discover the noble floor rooms , the old municipal pharmacy from the 19th century, and we will visit the Dark Chamber.
We will discover its walls, towers, the 2 gates of its military architecture, the city gate and the country gate, the beautiful gardens that communicated with the outside world.
We will enter the Mosque , it still maintains details of the Muslim civilization, we will visit the interior of the Arab baths that has managed to survive more than 900 years of history.
We will go up to the Octagonal Tower , now turn into a viewpoint, where we will observe the Jerez agrarian landscape, as well as the historic center.
Free time to be able to photograph one of the best best-preserved Alcazars in Spain.
